Pls help me with this sentence structure 'comes only...'?

john comes only to my place once a month / john comes to my place only once a month

john only comes to my place once a month ?

which is correct?

The first sentence means that John goes only to your place. He never goes anywhere else. 

Only is an adverb describing comes. In the second sentence, only is too far from the verb it is describing. 

John only comes to my place once a month is correct. Only is placed next to the verb it describes.
