Many characters die in the novel. Pick five characters who die and write a short scene, using dialogue, of what their conversation would be like if they were to meet in heaven.

2. Eulogy Project

Pretend you have been asked to write a eulogy for T. S. Garp. Write something that could be said at his funeral; it should be at least one page. Be prepared to read your eulogy aloud to the class.
