Object Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Objects
Monticello - This is the plantation where the story takes place.
Mulberry Row - This is the lane on the plantation where the slave cabins are located.
The Weaver's Cottage - This is where the main character works while living at the plantation.
Thomas Jefferson's Sanctum Sanctorum - This is what the plantation owner calls his bedroom; a place where very few are allowed.
Dining Room - This is the place where the main character serves the person who develops the plan for her freedom and where she is attacked by another character.
