The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. Work with some of your classmates to act out one of the scenes from the play.

Write a series of letters (at least 3) between Ma and Pa once Pa has gone off to fight the Russians.

Write the first scene of a sequel as to what will happen in Paris to Ma and Pa.

Create a diorama for one of the settings of the novel.
