Fun Classroom Activities

The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. Fun Classroom Activities include group projects, games, critical thinking activities, brainstorming sessions, writing poems, drawing or sketching, and more that will allow your students to interact with each other, be creative, and ultimately grasp key concepts from the text by "doing" rather than simply studying.

1. Watch scenes from THE DECAMERON

Obtain a copy of the DVD of the 1971 film, THE DECAMERON, and watch selected scenes in class.

2. The Invisible Student

In the style of Bruno and Buffalmacco, have two students pretend that a third student is invisible.

3. Dressing in the Dark

Students will bring to class and model items that might look ridiculous if they got dressed in the dark like the abbess with the man's pants on her head.
