Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Characters

Violet Baudelaire - This character is fourteen-years-old and extremely bright. This character likes to invent things and pulls up his/her hair when thinking up inventions. This character made a promise to his/her mother that he/she would always protect his/her siblings.

Klaus Baudelaire - This character is twelve-years-old, is a reader and has read a great many books for a twelve-year-old. This character's vocabulary is quite large, and is often more well read than the adults in the story.
