Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Rohanda/Shikasta - This unstable, quickly-changing planet is the setting of the book.

Canopus - This is the central planet of the Canopean Empire, and its inhabitants espouse a philosophy of love and harmony.

Sirius - Inhabitants of this planet engaged in various experiments in Shikasta's southern hemisphere during its pre-history and have agents on the planet until the last days.

Shammat/Puttioria - The inhabitants of this planet, generally speaking, are a group of renegade pirates whose philosophy of life is to feast on the energy of others.
