The largest room contains a stove and sink, tub and boiler, a table, two chairs, a kitchen cabinet, wardrobe, and couch. The only light comes through panes in the door leading out to the balcony. The apartment has a small living room with a dresser, table, chairs, and a coal stove, and a small, windowless bathroom.
