Princess Sultana Al Sa'ud - The speaker and main character of this book, this woman is an impetuous, melodramatic and sometimes vindictive wife and mother who pursues rights for women in an oppressive Islamic land.

Kareem - This man is a wealthy prince of Saudi Arabia and a kind and loving husband to the main character in the story.

Maha - This is the eldest daughter and middle child of the main character in the story. Like her mother, she is high-spirited, fierce and passionate about women's rights in Saudi Arabia.
