This section contains 30 daily lessons. Each one has a specific objective and offers at least three (often more) ways to teach that objective. Lessons include classroom discussions, group and partner activities, in-class handouts, individual writing assignments, at least one homework assignment, class participation exercises and other ways to teach students about the text in a classroom setting. Objective: Author - Tennessee Williams: Tennessee Williams (born March 26, 1911 - February 25, 1983), was an American playwright who received many of the top theatrical awards for his works of drama. He moved to New Orleans in 1939 and changed his name to "Tennessee" (from Thomas), the state of his father's birth. Today's lesson will introduce the class to the playwright of Orpheus Descending.
