Create a True Name

Have students come up with a "true name" for themselves or for others.

Who Am I?

Choose a student to assume the identity of a character from the book. Have students ask only "yes" or "no" questions. As soon as class members know which character that student represents, they should write it on a paper and turn it in to the teacher. The first with a correct answer will be the next to assume the identity of a character.

Write a Poem

Have students write a poem about any scene in the book.

Create a Map

Have students create a three-dimensional map of any scene in the book or of the overall setting. Salt relief maps or clay are options.

Create a Crossword

Create a crossword using clues from the book. Use an online crossword program or have students create their own crossword puzzles...
