Matty

This character is the protagonist and hero of the story. Before arriving at the Village and living with the blind man, he grew up in a broken home and fell into poor behavior, such as petty crime and lying. He discovers his mysterious gift when he heals a frog's leg in the Forest.

Seer

This character is a blind man who was persecuted by the community he lived in before coming to the Village. Left to die by his persecutors, the people of Village assisted the blind man. He is Kira's father and a father figure to Matty.

Leader

The character is a young man who is chosen to guide the Village community. As a child, he escaped his oppressive community on a small sled and discovered Village. His primary responsibility is to watch over the Village and giving true names to the Village citizens.
