Hippie Boy - This character is standing on the sidewalk outside a department store when an object falls, barely missing him.

Hippie Girl - This character is more emotionally involved with the little boy on top of the department store, while her friend is only angry with him.

Man from Hell - This character stresses rationality, and he appears to be a mentor to the character who is in training.

Stick - This is the man who falls off the roof, leaving his son above. He represents people who are too rigid, who get stuck in certain patterns in life and cannot break free of them.

Woman from Hell - This person's job is to record, in an unemotional way, the occurrences of people turning into objects. This person is in training and at times must be reminded what to do.
