Make a wanted poster for Maldoror. Include a list of the crimes he has committed, an image of him, other important information and a reward. Post the wanted posters up in the classroom and discuss his different crimes and his motives.
Draw a picture of a favorite scene from this poem. Collect the pictures and discuss each scene's significance as represented in the pictures. If there are duplicates, discuss the differences in their representation of the scene.
Divide the class into small groups and have them each take on a role of one of the characters. Working together, the students should turn a few scenes from this poem into a movie script and then make a film of their script. Present the different films to the class and discuss how they are portrayed differently than the poem.
