1. Where was Marcus traveling in the Prologue? Why?

Marcus Luttrell, United States Navy SEAL, Team Leader, SDV Team 1, Alfa Platoon was traveling across the United States to meet with the family and loved ones of the team members who were on the mission together. He was going to talk with them about the death of their loved ones. Marcus was the only survivor of the mission.

2. How did Marcus feel about the meetings he had in the Prologue? Which meeting was the hardest?

All the meetings were difficult. Dan had a wife and sister who grieved him. Eric's admiral father was left to grieve. James had a father and fiancee grieving for him. Axe had a wife and friends of the family who grieved for him. The toughest part of the trip was when Marcus went to Long Island to tell Maureen, the mother of his best friend, that her son was dead.
