Change of genre

The genre of Little Earthquakes is a novel. Rewrite the first three chapters of Little Earthquakes in a different genre of the teacher's choice.

Newspaper clip

Students will write a newspaper clip about the extramarital affair that happens in the life of Ayinde and Robert. They will describe how the press will read this affair and how it will affect everyone's life involved with this event.

Scenic art

Students will create a picture to display the scene in the park as Lia's character is introduced, taking note of various details that are symbolic to the rest of the story.

Poetry

Students will choose any one of the main characters and write a poem in the main person's character to their newborn son or daughter.
