Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Thalia High School - This is where Sonny and Dwayne play football and basketball.

The Pool Hall - Sam the Lion owns this place and often opens it early because he doesn't sleep well.

The Picture Show - This is where Jacy and Dwayne and Sonny and Charlene court in high school.

The All-Night Cafe - Sam the Lion owns this establishment and leaves it to Genevieve when he dies.

The Rooming House - This is where Sonny and Dwayne live, and the only drawback is the landlady, Old Lady Malone.
