Object Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Objects
Terremoto - The name of this location near Rome means "earthquake," and this is where Joan flees following her fake death.
Costume gothics - This is the name for romantic tales set in specific historical periods that Joan writes under a pen name.
Fotoromanzo - This is the name for a form of Italian literature that consist of romantic images with cartoon-like balloons over the characters' heads.
Jordan Chapel - This is where Leda accepts donations for her "delivery" of the messages she claims to receive from the deceased.
