Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. Objects

Chesapeake Bay - This is the body of water surrounding Louise's home. It can be considered the source of the Island's livelihood.

Rass Island - This is where the protagonist and her family live. A small community inhabits this land mass, which is primarily made up watermen and their families.
