Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Branch of wild rose - When this is placed on a coffin, a vampire cannot escape.

Carfax - This is the name of a creepy old London estate purchased by Dracula through Jonathan.

Crucifix - This object is used to impair a vampire's power. One is given to Jonathan by a peasant, and Van Helsing gives some to the men as weapons.

Dracula's castle - This location is the Count's home and the base of his power.

Earth-boxes - These items are filled with Transylvanian soil; Dracula must sleep in one when abroad.
