Southern FoodStudents will find examples of the food and drink mentioned in the text and bring these into class to have a Southern Food Day, supplemented by their own research into Southern foods, and any creations they choose to make at home.
Chick FestStudents will participate in a contest in which they attempt to impersonate Chick, exaggerating her qualities in order to expose the author's message through them. Students might dress up, put on skits, or hold an "interview" for classmates.
