Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the narrative and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the narrative or persons.
Create a Map
Give students an opportunity to create a map of their own of the battle sites and regions described in the narrative. Students may choose to draw out the battle plans for various missions as well.
Draw a Person from the Narrative
Have students draw their interpretation of a person from the narrative. Artistic ability is not important, but their drawings must reflect the type of costume worn by the person, whether the person is fat or thin, bald, prim or slovenly. What colors do the persons wear?
