Write an essay entitled, "Why James Joyce is Still Cool." This essay will center around the idea that Joyce's works are as relevant today as they were when they were written. It will also include his fresh approach to writing that makes the reader not want to put the book down. Some mention should also be included about the characters in his novels and what makes them cool as well.
Essay Topic 2
Write an essay about a mother's love. Start with Cranly's assessment of a mother's love and how his arguments affected Stephen. Your essay will either agree with Cranly or disagree and should include some examples to illustrate your point.
Essay Topic 3
Write an essay about the beauty of language. Take examples of some of Joyce's descriptive lines that paint a vivid mental image. Give your opinion as to whether using beautiful language is a lost art. Include in your essay what effect you think text messaging has had on language.
