Character Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Characters
Kofi Ako - This character is married to another in the text, and is also believed to come from a bad family.
Anowa - This character is regarded as unusual and wild by her village standards.
Abena Badua - This character has only one surviving child, which whom this character is bewildered by.
Being-The-Mouth-That-Eats-Salt-And-Pepper - This character comments on the action of the play, and ranges from very critical emotions to those that are more sympathetic.
