Have a servant's heart

Have students take Michelle's advice and do something to make someone's day brighter. Students might take cookies to a nearby fire or police department or do something nice for a student or staff member who needs some encouragement.

Brighten a nursing home

Have students gather for an hour at a local nursing home. Be sure to alert the nursing home staff to your visit ahead of time. As an alternative, have students participate in some other community-minded effort.

Watch TV

Have the class watch an episode of the Duggars' television show or have each student watch an episode on her own and write a brief summary.

Have students film a documentary of a day in the life of their own family.
