Today's objective is to talk about honor, what it means, and how it might be important within the story.

Lesson

1. Have each student make a list of qualities they associate with a person who they might see as honorable.

2. In smaller groups, have students discuss whether they think one needs to have honor in order to fight in a war. Why or why not?

3. As a class, have the students discuss why honor might be important within this story. What does it provide to those who fight in a war? What advantages might it give to those fighting?
