Summary:   The reason Fahrenheit 451 is so relevant and important to our society is obvious. The first reason this novel proved to be relevant today because it shows how society depends on the advancements of technology everyday.


Ray Bradbury's novel, Fahrenheit 451 is relevant to today's issues in our society in many ways. Today people are so fascinated with electronics and rely on computers to complete daily tasks instead of doing things "the old fashioned way" or manually. In Fahrenheit 451, Mildred and the rest of society represent the way our society believes and thinks. People in today's society who try to do daily tasks with their logic and do not depend on electronics is represented by Montag and Faber. Although modern technology is very useful in today's society, we depend on it to much.

This story exemplifies the way Montag goes against society proves that he is a true individual. Guy Montag is viewed as a rebel upon society because he enjoys reading books. In Montag's society, reading books is against the law......
