The Industrial Revolution came to different areas of the world at different times. Industrialization in Russia and Japan showed the growing importance of both societies in world affairs. Through new weapons, technology and political policies, the Industrial Revolution was able to transform society in these two countries for the better. The wonderful revolution was successful in Russia and Japan because they had the other European nations to imitate and therefore, industrialization lasted shorter than in England and the other European states.
Industrialization in Russia and Japan
The Industrial Revolution may be defined as the application of power-driven
machinery to manufacturing. It had its beginning in remote times, and is still continuing
in some places. Industrialization went through basically the same process wherever and
whenever it occurred. Because of the Agricultural Revolution, an increase in population
as well as improvements of technology, the Industrial Revolution occurred. Russia and
Japan challenged the pattern of nineteenth century European domination. By 1914, both
had launched notable industrialization and accomplished other changes while preserving
their independence.
Russian and Japanese Industrialization revolved around the same methods.
Factories were built where large machines would be used. People moved to cities to find
jobs and urbanized. Tenements were filled with hundreds of people crammed together
under an affordable roof. Women and even kids were seen.....
