What is life? In the novel A Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley, the concept of life is far from anything we could ever imagine. A Brave New World takes place in the year 632 A.F., which means After Ford, who is the god of the New World. Civilization has been destroyed in a horrific war and was reconstructed in the era of Ford. There is no more to life than simply living. There are no emotions, no passion. Love, hate, fear, and pain were unknown to these people. They simply pop a pill called soma to rid their minds of any possible worries or feelings. The World's state motto is "COMMUNITY, IDENTITY, STABILITY" (Huxley, 1), but there is most definitely more to life than just that.
