The population grew tremendously during the Industrial Revolution. This lead to many problems and many benefits. The population in Britain alone went up by 25,400,000! That is a huge amount. The rise in population led to more people wanting more jobs. The problem was that there were not that many jobs available for the poorer people to do. This was why the workhouses were so full. Another problem was housing. Rich and middle classes of the towns lived in large villas with servants and large gardens. Life was very different for many ordinary people.
