1.How did the Cold War affect your family"

"It affected my family because we were a military family. We were stationed in Germany twice. It is very tough for a military family to move around all the time to keep in touch with the head of the house."

2.Could US have acted differently during the Cold War?

"Given the lines of communications between the two countries, I would probably say no, initially. With the build up the forces right after WWII and the separation of the Germany, and the leader started to point things one way. Now, during the Cuban Missile Crisis, it was a real error group. And then towards the winding down of the Cold War, when the breakup of the Soviet Union and the failure of their monitory system were the impacts. So, we could.....
