Summary:   Discusses the history of World War I. Describes the economic, social and cultural impact of the war. Analyzes the war's lasting effects on participating nations.


World War I was a time of depression and a time of severe distress. World War I left a significant amount of individual's discontent and was a war that could have very easily been prevented. It had caused a lot of chaos and destruction and affected several people, empires, and states. The economic, social, and cultural impacts and repercussions of the war far outweighed the beneficiaries.

The economic impact of the war was huge. It left economic burdens on all of the European countries and it had been estimated that the Europeans had owed an estimated 10 billion dollars to the United States. Furthermore, the trade and industry still were in recession and did not revive after the course of the war. One of the immediate results of the war in Italy was that the people were.....
