Industrial Revolution


Throughout history, a number of small inventions were constructed in order to make life easier. Yet, in 1750, after the Civil War, a new time period known as the Industrial Revolution began bringing many new machines and new systems to better the economy and life of the working class people. Along with these improvements came the problems of overcrowding, sanitary conditions, and safety issues.

Before the Industrial Revolution began, the production of steel was low and scarce. As document 1 point out, the Industrial Revolution increased the production of steel tremendously and opened the opportunity for the United States of America to be the leading steel producer. With the production of steel came along many job openings, which were filled by the working class.
