The matrix is a film that launches the audience into an action packed frenzy right from the beginning of the film. The film also gets us thinking straight away about what the matrix is, what the code in the open scene is all about and many, many other questions that are then set to be answered in the rest of the film.

The first thing the audience sees is just a dark green code, (Green, black, brown and other dark colours are used a lot in the rest of the film). The audience sees nothing else but this code and just hears the sound of a phone ringing. Cypher then picks up the phone and talks to Trinity. Towards the end of the conversation Trinity says to Cypher, "Did you hear that"" Cypher replies, "Hear what"" Trinity then says, "Are you sure this line is clean"" This gets...
