Summary:   This is an essay of my opinions and interpretations of "Cat on a Hot, Tin Roof" by Tennessee Williams.


Cat on a Hot, Tin Roof, a 158-page book, by Tennessee Williams is the subject of interest right now. Although Williams published it in 1955, it is still a book of everlasting importance to the author's life. In fact, Williams is supposed to have based much of his work on his own life. Thomas Lanier Williams, the real name of Tennessee Williams, was born the son of a shoe salesman and a minister's daughter. His parents were not a happy couple, and they often disturbed Williams and his sister Rose (website). Williams was forced to work at various odd jobs throughout his life, until he gained recognition with the dramatization of his first play, Battle of Angels (Williams, AtA). That first major break spurred on the rest of his career......
