A science-fiction thriller portrayed in cartoon form, TITAN A.E. takes place in the distant future, after earth has been obliterated by a mysterious alien race known as the Drej. In the prologue, Earth is blown to smithereens (thus the "A.E."--"after Earth") by some blue pure-energy forms called the Drej, and mankind is forced to flee their home planet.
