Jane Overview
A mixture of memoir, poetry, and documentary, Jane follows Maggie Nelson's journey as she investigates the untimely death of her aunt, Jane, who was murdered as a first-year law student a few years before her own birth. Exploring Jane's mind through her written journals, Maggie Nelson attempts to understand the emotional makeup of her aunt, while also trying to piece together the affect the death had on the survivors across time, her own bond with the dead aunt, and violence against women.
