Christopher Mouse: The Tale of a Small Traveler is a juvenile chapter book that chronicles the trials and triumphs of a white mouse named Christopher. The book is Christopher's diary where he shares his first memories all the way up to his happy ending. However, along the way, times are not always good for Christopher. As a small white mouse, he is at the mercy of humans who do not always have his best interest at heart. Christopher has plenty of exciting experiences, including a couple of near brushes with death at the paws of a menacing cat and the umbrella-wielding hands of two shrieking ladies. As he travels, Christopher learns a lot about people and himself. He captures his feelings by writing poetry.
