A Court of Mist and Fury Overview

A Court of Mist and Fury is the second novel of the series, The Court of Thorns and Roses by Sara J. Maas. This installment picks up a short time after Fayre, a young woman, sacrificed much to save the High Fae. Fayre was recently Made into a faerie after showing courage and heroism in the faerie realm by freeing others who had been tortured for decades. Fayre is in love with a High Lord named Tamlin, but his obsessive controlling behavior makes her desperate to escape him. Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court, helps her do that. As Fayre learns more about a king who is threatening war, she also begins to hone her newly-acquired powers and learns that she will play an important role in stopping the threat. The novel's main themes are self-identity, class differences, and the roles of the High Lords.
