The soldiers came across a cartwright with his dogs and three-legged mule. The man told them that he saw some men he did not know go into the minaret last night. Then he offered to lead the soldiers to the area. When they got to the minaret, he pointed to an area and told them to look there. When they did, they found Murph's body.
