Domestic consumption of basic products like clothing, automobiles, and energy has grown accordingly. But Chinese demand for more discretionary or luxury services, including air travel and advertising, has been increasing 20% annually for nearly a decade. China's rapid development has also spawned an explosive technology and Internet economy that offers particularly attractive investment possibilities.
China's economy has rapidly become a major force in all aspects of world politics and economics, creating numerous investment opportunities. Domestic consumption of basic products like clothing, automobiles, and energy has grown accordingly. But Chinese demand for more discretionary or luxury services, including air travel and advertising, has been increasing 20% annually for nearly a decade. China's rapid development has also spawned an explosive technology and Internet economy that offers particularly attractive investment possibilities.

The growth of the Chinese Internet economy is nothing short of staggering. In 2000, about 15 million Chinese were online, but by 2003 there were 70 million, and today, there are well over 100 million.
