Justifing the Authorizing in the Atomic Attacks on Japan

Summary: The justification for the United States using atomic weapons against Japan during World War II. The attacks killed many but prevented thousands of U.S. troop deaths that would have occurred during an invasion of Japan.
In 1945, the United States dropped two Atomic Bombs, known as "The Fat Man" and "The Little Boy," over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. President Truman, before dropping the bomb, gave Japan time to surrender but they chose not to, therefore resulting in the bomb was dropped. Although many Japanese lives were lost, if the atomic bomb was not dropped, many more American lives would have been lost to a fool hearty invasion of Japan. In the end, the atomic bomb ended the war with Japan, saving thousands. Americans did feel that President Harry S Truman was justified in authorizing the atomic attack on Japan because it had saved many lives, American and Japanese, President Truman did give Japan an ultimatum, and the atomic bomb did end the war causing Japan to surrender.

After "The Fat Man" and "The Little Boy" were dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, many people perished...
