Summary: It is hard to understand why people start smoking when they know that it is bad for them and others around them. Some of the chemicals in cigarettes are addictive such as nicotine. So this is probably why they find it hard to quit.
This essay will look at the effects of smoking cigarettes, what are in cigarettes and why people are addicted to cigarettes.

Smoking has been banned in a lot of places like in restaurants, shopping centers, hospitals and on buses. But still there are some places where smoking is allowed and a lot of people don't like this. In several states smoking has been banned in bars and cafes.

People who smoke cigarettes find that it relieves their

stress, helps them from being depressed and calms them down. The Quit line says that "Seventy percent of smokers see their doctors regularly" and that "Smokers take in approximately 150mls of tar in one

year."

Most people who smoke say that it is very hard for them to quit smoking. That is because of nicotine. Usually it takes two to three tries for people who smoke to quit. Also using nicotine...
