Themistocles, Pericles, and Socrates all of whom left lasting legacies. Ancient Greece in turn

has affected many aspects of modern society varying from science to government.

Cleisthenes, an Athenian nobleman, is the founder of democracy. Themistocles, an Athenian

general of common birth put Athens in a position to build It's great empire. In comparison

Pericles, leader of Athens at the height of its power, built the Parthenon. Socrates, arguably

one of the greatest philosophers in history, is often credited as the founder of modern science.

Cliesthenes's legacy can be recognized as the greatest by examining his actions and the

events in which he partook and how they have affected history and the modern world

Cleisthenes, born in 570 BCE, grew up under the rule of the tyrant Peisistratus and is
