Hercules: the Saga of a True Hero

Summary: The many difficult labours of Hercules from the beginning till the end all represent good types of journeys for a hero's life. The marriage to Deianira and unfortunate death also tell us that Hercules' life was no different from any other mythological hero. Hercules is a hero that is recognized by almost everyone, not only for his invincible strength but for his legendary adventures too.
Several heroes have been witnessed by readers in Greek legends, each hero accomplishing the goal of his or her life. Hercules is one of them, because his life journey is similar to the life of other mythological heroes. Hercules' life in the story "12 Labours of Hercules" is similar to the few important stages in a hero's life, such as protected infancy and readiness, quests and death struggle as well as an important marriage leading to a kingly rule. Heracles or Hercules readies for his future by surviving through deadly situations in his childhood, departs on a lengthy quest involving the 12 labours of Hercules and eventually marries the beautiful love of his life, Deianira. Thus, Hercules' life fits the life pattern of a hero.
