Plot Summary of "Dicey's Song"

Summary: A plot summary of Cynthia Voight's "Dicey's Song," a story about a teen-age girl who had to take care of her siblings when her mom abandons them.
Book 2: Dicey's Song

1: The main character is this book is Dicey Tillerman, a thirteen year old girl who has two brothers and one sister. Dicey has brown hair, hazel eyes, and is very skinny. She grew up along the beach in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Her dad had left her mom to raise Dicey and her siblings right after Dicey's brother, Sammy was born. The Tillermans' were poor from the beginning and with only momma left to support the family they were in trouble. Dicey's mom suddenly disappeared and the Tillerman children were left to take care of themselves. Since Dicey was the oldest she provided the food and shelter, and took them on a journey to find Gram, their grandmother who lived in Crisfield Maryland. Once they reached their destination, the Tillerman children felt safe and at home once more for they now lived in a shabby farmhouse with...
