Siddhartha realizes the incongruity between reality, and what he has been taught. He then abandons his fortunate lifestyle to live a more nomadic way of living. In the tales of Siddhartha: Siddhartha undergoes a series of events that can be related to self-realization. Siddhartha's main goal was to find the peacefulness that would allow him exist without a life of fear, appreciate life, and learn to love every aspect of life whether it is happiness, love, pain, death, or sorrow. Siddhartha's long time friend Govinda shared his beliefs and provided companionship to Siddhartha.
