Summary: Thousands of public schools throughout the United States currently suffer from a lack of funding. The following essay makes the recommendation to a high school in Minnesota that it replace its current lighting system with a more energy-efficient one, thus enabling the school to save money and protect the environment.
Thousands of public schools throughout the United States are currently suffering from a lack of funding. Among these schools is my former school, Minnetonka High School. To help improve its economic situation Minnetonka High School should replace its current lighting system with a more energy-efficient one. By utilizing an energy-efficient lighting system Minnetonka High will be able to save money and protect the environment.

The Minnetonka school district is currently facing an increasingly dire financial situation. The Minnetonka school district's executive director of Finance and Operations, Tom Berge, explained the reasons behind the funding deficit to me. The Minnesota state legislature provides schools with a certain amount of money for each student that attends it.
