There are a lot of ways to be a hero to someone. To me a hero is someone who goes through a lot of hardship but at the ends tries to help other people with the same problem he went through. My hero is Dave Pelzer. The reason I chose Dave Pelzer is because he has gone through a lot of hardship as a kid. As a child Dave was severely abused by his mother who was an alcoholic. Dave had to suffer though nights of not eating being burnt etc. Despite this he has overcame this and inspired a lot of troubled kids who where abused by there parents that is why Dave Pelzer is my hero.

Dave grew up in a household with an abusive mother who was an alcoholic. As baby Dave's life was great because his mother did not drink. As Dave's mom became an alcoholic she became abusive towards Dave. The older Dave got the worse the abuse have got. Dave's mom treated Dave different then his other brothers. The abusive became so severe that Dave had to steal in order to eat. The father in the story was negligent towards his son.

Dave started to run away from home at the age of 13. Dave ran to a pizza shop where he escaped from his mother's torment. At a young age Dave was sent to foster homes to stay until he became of age. He struggled and seen his mother sometimes and his mother tried to regain custody of him just to get back at him. David had to go through all the things his mother did to him in court because his mom said he was lying.
