The Ride of Valkyrie

Summary: Richard Wagner was born on May 22 1813. he was an influential german composer, conductor, music theorist and essayist. He was primarily known for his symphonic operas or so called musical dramas. His compositions are notable for their continuous rich harmonies and orchestation. Wagner was also very interested in mythology and based many of his operas on different mythological stories from different countries and religions, then elaborated on them and made them his own.

Wagner was also very interested in mythology and based many of his operas on different mythological stories from different countries and religions, then elaborated on them and made them his own. He died on february 13 1883 at the age of 69.

The story is based on part of an opera. It is called "the ring cycle" and the part which we listened to, involved several maidens taking away dead heros who had died in a war. Each of the maidens would carry their dead hero to Valhalla. Valhalla is a sort of heaven where each of the heros come back to life to life. Once this has been accomplished...
